#14. Nueva Cambria: Character Lineup

Aside from Sanctuary, a side project of mine is Nueva Cambria - a story set in anthropomorphic New York, where three teenagers navigate an otherwise parallel universe to ours to find a place for themselves in the world. From left to right: Roxxi Rodriguez - an axolotl that fled her home Lake Xochimilco which was destroyed from overpopulation - Naoya Tsukimori - a leopard who suffers from incomplete melanism caused by a mutation in the panther genes from his mother’s side, causing him to stick out like a sore thumb - and Gerard “Gezza” Kane - a reef shark with a shady past who left behind his life in London in search of something he doesn’t know yet. The title “Cambria” is fashioned from the Cambrian explosion.
